How do I change my profile photo?

Depending on where you are in the application process, there are two places to update your profile picture.

New & Pending Applicants:

If you are currently filling out an application, or waiting to hear on an admission decision, you can update your photo from the Application Status section of your Smartly account.  Editing a previously submitted application does not remove you from consideration, so there's no need to worry about losing your place in the application cycle!

Photos can be found and updated in the Career Preferences section of the Application process.

Current Students, Career Network Members, & Alumni:

If you are a member of the Career Network, or a student in an existing or former Smartly cohort, you can update your photo from the Careers section of your Smartly account.

After clicking on Careers, navigate to the Edit Profile section from the menu on the left.  Your profile photo can be found and updated from the Basic Info section.  Adding or editing your photo does not change your status in the Career Network.

Please note that for newly accepted students, it may take up to two weeks after your cohort's start date for your Career profile to be unlocked and available for editing.

Troubleshooting:

  • LinkedIn photo not syncing correctly? Double check that you have entered the correct link in your application or Careers section
  • Is your photo sideways?  This is an issue we have seen occasionally from iOS devices.  Try using another photo, or another device to complete your upload
